The Offenhouser manifold and Fenton headers did not fit in two areas. The headers would hit the bottom of the intake
causing the header to not seat properly onto the exhaust ports on the head. The remedy was to grind a considerable
amount off the bottom of the intake. To check for a proper fit, the manifolds were installed and tightened and a
flashlight was positioned on top of the header shining onto the engine side of the intake.
The correct amount had been shaved when a sliver of light could be seen between the intake and header when viewed from below.
